Daily Winners

52-Week Range Ratio = (Price Р52-Week Mid) / 0.5 * (52-Week Range). For example, suppose Exxon Mobil is trading $88.00, the 52-Week high is $90.00 and the 52-Week low is $70.00. The 52-Week Range Ratio = ($88 Р$80)/0.5*($90 Р$70) = 0.80. The ratio is a way to quickly assess whether a stock is trading near its 52-Week highs or lows.

Momentum: A comparison of 200 energy stocks and how their current price measures against their respective 52-Week Ranges. The vertical axis is the number of stocks ordered by ascending and descending 52-Week Range Ratios. The horizontal axis displays the 52-Week Low (negative/left) and 52-Week High (positive/right) ratios. A value close to -1 indicates that a stock is trading on its 52-Week low while values near +1 indicate the 52-Week high.

Daily Losers

52-Week Range Ratio = (Price – 52-Week Mid) / 0.5 * (52-Week Range). For example, suppose Exxon Mobil is trading $88.00, the 52-Week high is $90.00 and the 52-Week low is $70.00. The 52-Week Range Ratio = ($88 – $80)/0.5*($90 – $70) = 0.80. The ratio is a way to quickly assess whether a stock is trading near its 52-Week highs or lows.
